Very happy to be playing Mathieu Lussier’s ODDBIRD CONCERTO with the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra, led by the very musical and energizing conductor, Michael Hall. I have many friends coming, and one pair of comp tickets. Mathieu wrote this beautiful concerto for me using all of his own remarkable skill and insight as a bassoonist and composer and I love absolutely every note of this work. I have now performed it more frequently than the Mozart Concerto! Here are the final moments of the premiere performance and I hope to see some of you on September 23 in Sudbury!
